Since the Christmas holidays...

Here is what we have been up to since we came back after the holidays. The year 1 children have been working on speaking and listening and rehearsed and performed a poem all about a naughty cat.

In RE with Mrs Shiner the children have been looking at the story of 'The Lost Sheep'. Here are a few of the lovely pictures that they created which can be seen in our classroom on display.
In Literacy, FS2 have been looking at dinosaurs. They came across a mystery egg in the classroom. The children went on to think about what might be inside. We decided it was a dinosaur egg.  The children made and labelled some playdough food that we thought the dinosaur might like. We thought he might like biscuits and sausages!
Over the last 2 weeks we have focused on music and exploring beat and rhythm. Here is a picture of one of the children creating a beat on a drum.
We have been using the smartboard to create art. The children enjoy using the different tools and pens. A background is being drawn to go with her shadow puppet including a tree and a butterfly.

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY:
* Tuesday 31st January there will be a 'Reading Workshop' for parents held at 3:30pm in Class 1. A creche will be available for children and siblings. Please come along and make sure that you are totally confident in hearing your child read.
